Watch And Learn First

A mud run isn't like the most race you might have tried. It is designed with a lot of obstacles — mud pits, rope ladders, and a rock wall to mention a few. So, as a first-time runner take a few steps back, watch how others overcome these obstacles and do the same. Stepping back to learn is far better than struggling with no idea how it is done.

Come Along With Plenty of Water

It is undeniable that during the race every mud runner needs to stay hydrated. However, this tip isn't for that. Bring a lot of water will help you avoid the long queue waiting for the showers. Most people often find disheartening.

Focus On Running Further During Training

A 10K mud run differs from a 10K road race. It involves you crawling through mud, climbing up rope ladders and many more which usually require more energy and effort. So, training hard and further than the mud race distance will help you get ahead. For example. If your mud run distance is 5 mile, don't prepare for any distance less than 6 miles.
